The members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion (3InfBn) of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1InfBde) marked the Day of the Unit with a military ceremony in Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu barracks in Tetovo.
The Deputy Commander of the 1InfBde, Colonel Stevan Naumoski, addressed the members of the 3InfBn
at the ceremony congratulating the Day of the Unit. In his speech he exphasized: “Today’s celebration is special and gives us the obligation to address the moments that once again confirmed the inseparable bond between the Army and the citizens we serve. You proved to be real heroes so on this day I would like to pay respect to all the soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, who fiercely faced the fires throughout our country this year.”
In his speech given to the unit’s lined-up personnel and guests present at the celebration, the Commander of the 3InfBn, Lieutenant Colonel Tomica Ristovski, referred to the history, traditions and significance of 27 August. Also, he thanked and acknowledged the soldiers and officers for their hard work, loyalty and responsibility in performing their tasks.
On this occasion, acknowledgments and incentive measures for the unit members were read. The 1st Infantry Platoon of the 3rd Infantry Company was declared the best platoon of the 3rd Infantry Battalion for its results achieved in training and task performance. Today’s celebration was also attended by officers of the Command and Staff of the 1st InfBde, commanders of the units of the 1st InfBde, former commanders of the unit, representatives of the local self-government, representatives of the Defenders Associations, the Fighters of National Liberation War, representatives of the religious communities and other guests.
