Today, at the military barracks Chede Filipovski – Dame in Kichevo, there was an official celebration of the Day of the First Infantry Battalion (1IBn) within the First Infantry Brigade (1IBde). Celebrating the Day of the Unit, 21 May, the service personnel of the 1stIBn continue the legacy dating back to the foundation of the partisan unit from Kichevo and Mavrovo.
The Commander of the 1stIBde, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski and the Commander of the 1stIBn Lieutenant Colonel Zoranche Ristovski addressed the guests and the attendees of the celebration.
Prior the official celebration, the 1stIBn in cooperation with the Red Cross and the Institute for Transfusion Medicine organized a blood donation, when 96 blood units were collected.
The best platoon in the unit was the Maintenance Platoon within the Logistics Company.
There were a lot of guests at the official celebration of the 1stIBn, including commanders of the subordinate commands of GS and the Army, former commanders and retired commanders from the 1stIBn, representatives of the public administration, public organizations and services, local government in the zone of responsibility of the 1stIBn, and civilian organizations and people who cooperate with the 1stIBn.
