Members of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia from the ARM GS and the subordinate commands and units, who carry out duties in the logistics domain, completed its participation in the command post exercise “LOGEX 17” which was held in the period from 8th to 19th May, in Tirana, Republic of Albania.
The exercise has a multinational approach to the process of planning and support of the forces during engagement in missions outside their own territory. Nine countries took part in the exercise, with twelve representatives from the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
Based on a previously created scenario, the participants were issued tasks (incidents) which required logistic support of the unit with the size of a brigade – Multinational forces for a task.
Members from the Army of the Republic of Macedonia were part of the teams for logistic operations, logistic planning, national element of support (NES), joint group for logistic support and in the teams for exercise control.
Besides representatives from the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, representatives from the armies of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Finland, Moldova and Sweden also took part in the exercise.
The exercise is directed by the USA in order to enhance interoperability among participants in the planning and execution of providing logistic support to the units.
