In accordance with the Plan for Bilateral Cooperation with the US Armed Forces, in the period from April 3 th to 7th, a ‘Military Psychological Support Course’ was held at the Military Medical Support Battalion. The team of instructors and trainers from Vermont, US were Lt Col Keith Warren, CPT Matthew Emelett, and SGT Caleb Curtis, whereas course attendees were Army units’ psychologists.
During the training, psychological support on all levels and in all conditions, as well as in multinational operations and prolonged combat operations, was developed in detail. Special focus was given to mental health care and medical treatment of military personnel in ROLE 1, 2 and 3. All acquired skills, knowledge and techniques will be applicable and of great importance when deploying personnel on multinational operations.
On completing the course all participants were awarded certificates.
