On April 23, 2024, in accordance with the Monthly Work Plan of the General Staff, Sergeant Major of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, Goran Kjirkovikj briefed the cadets from the fourth year of the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” on the topic “Role and Duties of Command Sergeant Major and the Chief Non Commissioned Officer”.
Understanding the role of Command Sergeant Major and Chief NCOs by future officers is extremely important for the development of the support channel and its influence i.e. support of the chain of command.
The fourth year cadets (from the Armies of the Republic of North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro) with their views, questions and comments highlighted and accepted the role of non-commissioned officers in the Army as a driving force in individual and team-level training, which raises the unit’s success in accomplishing its mission.
