ARM servicemen from signals commands and units, the K-4 Sector of the MoD, as well as representatives from NATO partner countries, with the NATO mobile training team support, carried out joint training in communication-information systems (KIS) from the 5th to the 8th of March, 2018.
At this training, which was held at the ARM House in Skopje, the NATO command organization was shown, with the structure of forces, the organization and functioning of KIS in NATO when deploying to missions and operations, as well as exploiting the introduced KIS in the process of supporting the system of command and control (C2) in NATO.
Planning of communication and information equipment, when executing NATO led exercises is crucial because of constant technological development from telephone communications, information services, video conferences, etc. The continuous rise in wireless communication initiates the need for dedication while planning of frequencies use, especially in case of large scale exercises which are executed on different locations. The NATO mobile training team focused the attention to existent threats to cyber safety, performed analysis, conclusions and measures taken for better protection against cyber attacks.
At the end of the activity the trainees were presented with certificates of participation by the Chief of Section J-6/GS of the ARM and the NATO team.
