Today in the Training Center (TC) Pepelishte Defence Minister Talat Djaferi and Chief of General Staff LTC General Goranco Koteski visited the newly engaged professional soldiers of the Army, who are attending a course for basic combat training.
During the visit, the Minister of Defence and the Chief of General Staff gained insight into the living and working conditions and organization of the course. The professional soldiers presented the content of the training they are currently attending.
On this occasion, the Minister of Defence and the Chief of General Staff concluded that the course which is being realized within the program for development of professional soldiers is of great importance for further engagement, gaining professional expertise and professional development of the soldiers.
The basic combat training course began on 25 February 2014 and it is scheduled to complete in early April. After the realization of the basic training course, professional soldiers will be deployed in the ARM units.
Minister Djaferi and General Koteski had an insight into the planning conferences’ work for the exercises ‘Macedonian Flash-10’ and ‘Fast Lynx’, currently being held at TC Pepelishte. During these exercises it is planned to carry out assessment in accordance with the NATO concept of ARM declared units for participation in NATO and EU led operations.
