From 09.03 to 16.03.2015, in accordance with the Plan for Training of the subordinate units of the Joint Operations Command, the service personnel of the Engineer Battalion (ENGBn) within the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade had training during camping at the Military Training Area (MTA) “Krivolak”.
The aim of the camping was training of the members of the ENGBN for appropriate and safe execution of their task and duties dealing with mines and explosive devices (MED) and execution of shooting practice during day and night with their personal weapon (PW). A number of activities were carried out at the training ground for engineers “Mushanci”:
- Individual training with live MED related to: “Preparing and activating slow burning ignition device and igniting explosive charge (ec) with slow burning ignition device”, “Ignition of electric detonation blasting cap (EDBC) with an electric blasting machine and ignition of explosive charges with EDBC”
- Unit training with live MED: “Designing network for fuse ignition and ignition of explosive charges”, „Designing network for electrical ignition and ignition of explosive charge”, “Demolition”, and “Preparation and ignition of different explosives laid in the ground”
During the exercises with the live MED all safety precaution and measures had been followed, and there was technical and environmental protection. The activities were undertaken under the supervision of representatives of the main command, ENGBn command and commanding service personnel of the special unit for MED.
The successful execution of the exercises with live MED upgraded the readiness of the unit, and thus the service personnel of the ENGBn demonstrated ones again their excellent capabilities and professionalism.
