Within 09.02-13.02.2015, the members of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3MIBn) and the Engineer Battalion (ENGRBN) in the composition of 1 st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1MIBde), realized training in winter conditions on multiple locations in the region of Popova Shapka.
The training was conducted in accordance with the in advance prepared plan, through different topics: movement through deep snow, building facilities and taking stands for firing with skis. The members of the unit have gained the desired skills to perform the tasks in winter conditions.
The training participants also familiarized themselves with snowmobile management, giving first aid in case of frostbite, fractures and snow blindness, making bear holes, Eskimo igloo and mountain bivouac where they practically stayed.
Through the training, the members of the units that performed the training practically demonstrated the high level of training to perform tasks in complex weather and field conditions.
