On 17-18.9.2014, at the training centre “Stenkovec” members of the Engineers Battalion (ENGRBN) from the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade conducted planned exercises with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).
The aim of the exercises was to train personnel related to recognition, properties, and handling explosives, how to produce slow burning explosives, ignition of slow-burning explosives, as well as to check the knowledge of work organization, safety precaution measures and protection when working with EODs.
The exercises were conducted successfully and the desired result was achieve, which signifies good military proficiency of the personnel to carry out tasks in the field of handling EODs.
