On 12.17.2013 (Tuesday), the Air Force brigade hosted four Italian pilots, members of the air force and air defense of the Republic of Italy.
The visit of the representatives of the Italian Armed Forces is part of bilateral cooperation between the two armies for exchange of experiences and examination of possible architecture of Macedonian AAD system including the development of facilities for search and rescue (SAR) and other training activities.
As part of the program, representatives from the Republic Italy were first greeted by the aviation brigade commander, Colonel Kire Kolevski where they discussed the possibilities and capabilities of the Macedonian Air Force and Air Defense. Then followed by a presentation on the aviation brigade. After that they had a visit to the subordinate units within the brigade where they met the commanders of the units, and had fruitful talks.
Representatives of the Republic Italy expressed their appreciation of the hospitality and satisfaction from the presented, with a hope that this kind of cooperation will continue to realize the objectives of these visits.
Cooperation with the Italian Air Force is being realised on regular basis accordingly our pilots go into the R. Italy for training in various areas and their pilots come to us for exchange of experiences which contribute to improving the process of training and training while performing flying duties.
