From today until 7 October, 250 servicemen of the ARM and representatives of the armies of 21 member states of NATO and Partnership for Peace take part in the exercise “Macedonian Flash-12”. The exercise is conducted at the Training Centre “Pepelishte” and the Army Training Area “Krivolak”.
During the exercise at “Krivolak” and “Pepelishte”, NATO assessment Level-1 will be carried out in accordance with the Operational Capability Concept of the Declared Ranger Company which is part of the Special Operations Regiment (SOR).
“Macedonian Flash-12” is an exercise that is carried out by units in the field by using live ammunition and it is based on a scenario for peace support operations and operations for response in crisis led by NATO and EU, under a mandate of UN. This exercise will demonstrate the interoperability of the declared unit in SOR for the NATO/EU-led operations.
During the opening ceremony, the director of the exercise Lieutenant Colonel Besnik Emini pointed out that the professionalism, the exceptional dedication and the excellent readiness are features which describe the servicemen of the ARM. The impeccable execution of the given tasks in various difficult and complex situations during the assessment will be evidence for the readiness and capabilities of the participants.
This exercise is also part of the 32nd NATO Evaluator Training Course, according to the Operational Capability Concept.
