4th Regional Workshop for REGEX ’19

The fourth regional workshop for the exercise REGEX ‘19 took place from 11^th to 15^th of March 2019, at the hotel “Holiday Inn” in Skopje. The participants included representatives from 18 PfP countries and the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naples.

At the official opening, the Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command (JOC) Brigadier General Orce Jordev, welcomed the participants and wished them successful work. In addition, he emphasized the importance of the exercise due to the large number of participant countries.

During this five-day workshop the following activities were done:

• Determining and developing the training objectives with representatives of the PfP countries and the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naplesfor the multinational military exercise REGEX ’19;
• Defining the list of main activities on the exercise;
• Defining and developing of the scenario – module 2.

On the 14^th of March 2019, representatives of the participant countries of the exercise REGEX ’19 and the Chief of Staff of JOC, Colonel Besnik Emini visited the Signals Battalion and the Military Police Battalion in the military barracks Ilinden. They were briefed about the mission, organization, military formation and the structure of the units including a methodological demonstration.

At the end of the workshop all necessary documents were completed about the training objectives, developing scenario– module 2, and defining the list of main activities which is a solid base to continue the planning process.

Next phase in the planning process of the exercise is the Main Planning Conference which will take place from the 10^th to 14^th of June 2019.
