The Chief of General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski and the key personnel of the General Staff were briefed on the readiness and status of the commands and units in 2019 by the Commanders of the subordinate commands and units.
During the annual report in the barracks “Ilinden”, which according to the Work Plan of the General Staff is held at the end of the year, the Commanders of the subordinate units presented the completed activities, the training, the equipment and their influence on the combat readiness.
During the briefing, the Commanders talked about the situation with the personnel management, the operations, training and exercises, logistics, communications, the budget and the civil-military relations. Furthermore, they presented the completed planned assignments, the results achieved in the area of training, the living and working conditions, as well as the lessons learned during the peacekeeping missions.
At the of the report, the Chief of the General Staff stated the conclusion about the situations presented to him and gave directions for the activities planned for 2020, mainly concerning the process of transformation and the obligations for a complete integration into NATO.
