Today, the Chief of General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski visited the elementary school “Andreja Savevski-Kikis” in Tetovo where he finished his elementary education.
During his visit, General Gjurchinovski paid special attention to the students in the class for children with special educational needs and the youngest students in first grade. He had conversation with the children and on behalf of the all members of the Army he gave them New Year packages.
After this, the Chief of the General Staff had a meeting with the principal of the school and the teachers. The meeting was also attended by the principal of this school in the period from 1976 to 1984, the period in which General Gjurchinovski gained his elementary education.
During the meeting, they evoked memories with the teachers from that period and the General stressed the importance of the education for an appropriate understanding of the role, the place and the importance of the Army for the society and citizens, especially the importance of the elementary education which is important for the further development of the children and the choice of their profession.
