Today, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski had a meeting in the General Staff with the Commander of KFOR, Major General Lorenzo D’Addario, who is on a regular annual visit to the General Staff of the Army and the Ministry of Defence.
At the meeting in the General Staff, they covered the subjects from the security aspect which arise from the mutual cooperation, such as the security challenges in the region and the responsibility zone of the mission, the mutual activities with the forces of KFOR, exchange of information of mutual interest, and also the activities of the mission.
During his stay in the General Staff of the Army, Major General D’Addario also had a meeting with the Minister of Defence, Radmila Shekerinska.
The regular annual meetings of the highest level chiefs which are held alternately, are of essential meaning for the total regional security.
In 2007, the Host Nation Support Coordination Center was in full operative readiness, which is part of the Logistics Support Brigade whose basic task is to coordinate with the forces of KFOR within the customs and border procedures, including other necessities of KFOR in the area of the logistics support, by which we directly participate in a KFOR mission.
