In the period from May 27 to 31, 2024, a Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course (TCCC) was held in the organization of the Medical Training Department (MTD) of the Military Medical Center. The training was carried out in cooperation with medical training instructors from the Medical Training Center of the Swiss Armed Forces. The participants of the course were lifesavers from the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, who had the opportunity to improve and upgrade their skills for taking care of life-threatening injuries during intense combat actions.
During the final exercise that took place in the barracks “Ilinden”, the participants presented the learned techniques and principles of medical care in a tactical environment. The training and practical exercises were in accordance with the latest standardized medical guidelines and the trainees received an internationally recognized certificate.
Taking into account the role of the MTD as a Regional Medical Training Center, during the period this course was held, the Swiss instructors also carried out a Course for Tactical Casualty Care Instructors for the members of the Balkan Medical Task Force.
