The members of the Signal Battalion at the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje celebrated October 21 – the Day of the Unit with a military ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, as well as representatives from the General Staff of the Army, the Operations Command, other commands and units of the Army, former commanders of the Regiment and the Signal Battalion, and representatives of local government and institutions collaborating with the unit.
As part of the celebration, orders for promotion to the next rank were read for some personnel, and incentive measures were awarded by the Chief of the General Staff, the Commander of the Operations Command, and the Commander of the Signal Battalion.
On the occasion of the Day of the Unit, a blood donation was conducted, collecting 20 units of blood. Additionally, sports competitions were organized within the battalion. On October 22, a humanitarian action will take place, involving the donation of food products and hygiene supplies to socially vulnerable families in the Municipality of Sopishte.
