During his visit to the Republic of Macedonia and the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Croatia also visited the Special Operations Regiment (SOR) today.
The Minister of Defence, accompanied by the ARM Chief of General Staff of the Republic of Macedonia, Major General Vasko Gjurchinovski and the Directors of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of the two countries, were welcomed by the Commander of the SOR, General Metodi Hadji Janev, and they were familiarized with capabilities and capacities of the unit, the concepts for future development of the Special Forces of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as with the previous cooperation with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia.
During the visit, members of the SOR demonstrated part of their combat capabilities through a methodological and tactical technical exercise. At the end of the visit, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Croatia visited the memorial room in the Special Purpose Battalion and wrote in the book for impressions.
The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Croatia once again stressed the impressions of the visit, with a clear commitment that he will personally engage in deepening the cooperation of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia and the Special Forces of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
