From 28.10.2013 until 21.11.2013 at the Ilinden barracks and the training centre Pepelishte Special Operations Regiment selective entry test took place.
All applicants successfully completed the physical and medical checks as well as 50 meters swimming as an essential prerequisite for entry to the selective course.
At the start of the course all applicants were addressed by the Special Operations Regiment Commander and the Selective Course Commander who wished them success in the course and recommended them to do their best if they want to be part of the unit. During the selective course the candidates were tested in their mental and physical ability and endurance, the ability for decision making in stressful situations, team spirit etc. Over the selective course, different topics on small units’ tactics, alpinism and applied physical skills were dealt with in order to select the best applicant.
Eight candidates successfully completed the selective course.
