At the military barracks “Alekso Demnievski-Bauman” in Veles, a Psychological Operations Course on Tactical Level was piloted from 13 to 23 May, 2024 by instructors for psychological operations from the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The Training and Doctrine Command organized this course for the first time, with their own certified instructors who got professional support and coordination by the Psychological Operations Department within the General Staff of the Army.
The aim of the course was to enable the course participants to practically use psychological operations in the military planning process, in the military decision making process at the commands, headquarters, and in different Army units. Concurrently, the aim was to establish a pool of trained PSYOP forces that would fill in the psychological operation team within the Light Infantry Battalion Group.
Nine service personnel of the subordinate commands and units of the Army (officers, NCOs and professional soldiers) attended this first pilot course.
In the last quartile of the year, the same certified instructors will conduct the second module of this course whose aim will be practical use of the tasks of the psychological operations teams on tactical level.
