In the period between 11-13.03.2014 a seminar on “Lessons Learned” was held in the Centre for creating Doctrines, Rules, Guidelines and Lessons Learnt (CIDPUNL). The seminar is a part of the bilateral cooperation with the United States Armed Forces and the Army of Republic of Macedonia.
The Chief of Section for Analysis and Lessons Learnt in CIDPUNL, Lieutenant Colonel Ladomir Bojcevski, was a Head of the seminar. The seminar was attended by people involved in the establishment of the system for Lessons Learnt in ARM, as well as by two representatives of the U.S. Ground Forces Training and Doctrines Command from Fort Leavenworth – Kansas.
The purpose of the three-day seminar was greater use of already acquired knowledge, presenting and distributing it in ARM everyday functioning. The implementation of Lessons Learnt means improving of operational capabilities as well.
The seminar participants were familiarized with the functioning of the program of Lessons Learnt in the U.S. Armed Forces and with the concept for Lessons Learned in the Army of Republic of Macedonia.
Lessons Learnt System is one of the important tools of knowledge management that helps commanders in the adoption and distribution of knowledge which is very important when making decisions. The Lessons Learnt System will enable Commandants and Commanders to create an organizational culture that supports creativity, flexibility and good working atmosphere, where the personnel’s knowledge is used to its maximum.
