A change of command ceremony was held at the “Goce Delchev” barracks in Skopje on the occasion of the handover-takeover of the Cadets and Officers Training Center Commander (COTC) within the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
The ceremony was attended by the TRADOC Chief of Staff, Colonel Goce Filiposki, the Dean of the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” Colonel Mitko Bogdanovski, professors from the Military Academy and guests from the units of the Army.
The TRADOC Chief of Staff, Colonel Goce Filiposki emphasized in his speech that the Cadet and Officer Training Center is the foundation for the development of future military leaders of the Army, but also of the Armies of friendly Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. “Generations of officers have been trained here, who acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for leadership through modern programs and dedicated training, integrity and professionalism,” Colonel Filipovski said. He expressed gratitude to the outgoing commander, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Shutevski, for his selfless dedication, high professionalism and unwavering leadership. He congratulated the incoming commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Sarafimov, wishing him success in the further management of this center, above all with the future challenges for the work vision and achieving top results in tasks completion.
In his address, Lieutenant Colonel Shutevski emphasized that the duty of COTC commander is not just a position, but it is an honor, obligation and responsibility. He also thanked the members of the COTC and the superior command, as well as the Military Academy for their selfless support so far, and wished the incoming commander good health and successful managing of the unit.
“COTC is more than just a group of individuals in uniform. It is a family bound by sahred goals and collective purpose,” said the newly appointed commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Sarafimov. He also emphasized that through discipline, teamwork and resilience, the unit’s traditions will be maintained, ensuring that they will always be prepared for any challenge that lies ahead.
The members of COTC presented Lieutenant Colonel Goran Shutevski with a gift, thanking him for his command so far and his personal contribution to the development of the unit and the results achieved.
