Macedonian President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, in accordance with the Defence Law and the Law on Military Service, by decree appointed senior officers on positions provided for a general rank, as well as officers on command duties in the Joint Operational Command (JOC) and the First Mechanized Infantry Brigade. Also, the President of the Republic of Macedonia by decree appointed a senior military representative of the Republic of Macedonia in the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and a military representative in Ankara, Turkey.
The previous Commander of the Joint Operational Command, Major General Vasko Gjurchinovski, was appointed Senior Military Representative of the Republic of Macedonia to NATO headquarters in Brussels.
Brigadier General Zoran Mileski, who performed the duty of Commander of the 1st Mechanised Infantry Brigade, was appointed a Commander of the Joint Operational Command.
Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, who is the current adjutant of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was appointed a new Commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade.
By Decree of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, Colonel Orce Jordev, Commander of the Special Operations Regiment, was promoted to the rank of a Brigadier General. During his career, Brigadier General Orce Jordev has performed numerous commandant and staff duties in the Special Operations Regiment (SOR), including the Commander of the Special Operations Battalion. He has performed the duty of SOR Commander since 2015.
By Decree of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, Colonel Zharko Ristevski was appointed a military representative of the Republic of Macedonia in Ankara, Turkey.
