“Transparency, credibility of information and effective communication is the mission of military public relations personnel in their support of the commanders” – this was the message sent by the NATO Mobile Training Team (MTT) during the training conducted from 09 to 11.12.2015 at the “Army House” in Skopje.
The training was conducted by a certified NATO instructor and it was attended by public relations officers and NCOs from the public relations office, subordinate commands and units of GS and ARM up to battalion level, Communication Sector of MoD of RM and other ARM representatives.
During the training, while addressing the group, the SHAPE Chief Public Affairs Officer underlined the importance of public relations in NATO and in other military organizations in order to support mission completion.
In accordance with the NATO instructor’s plan and program, there were a few topics covered which were presented through interactive classes and exchanging experiences, including public relations in military organizations.
Lessons learned from this training will motivate the public relations personnel to promote the activities of the ARM personnel.
This kind of training concerning public affairs is conducted for the first time by the NATO MTT. Additionally, ARM public relations personnel get public relations training at the Public Affairs Regional Center and other courses abroad.
