Army Medical Centre (AMC), within the Logistic Support Brigade (LSBde) under the command of the Joint Operations Command (JOC) starting from today 27.08.2015 has a new commander.
The handover of responsibility between the outgoing commander Colonel Dushan Stojanovikj and the newly appointed AMC commander Lieutenant Colonel Irena Mineva was performed with a military ceremony at the LSBde Command in Skopje.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defence Zoran Jolevski, the Chief of General Staff of ARM Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, Deputy Chief of ARM GS Major General Muhamet Racaj, JOC Commander Brigadier General Vasko Gjurchinovski, LSBde Commander, and representatives from ARM GS and other ARM commands and units.
The Commander of JOC Genera Gjurchinovski in his speech on the occasion of the handover ceremony highlighted the importance this multi-disciplined army facility had for ARM and all its members. He also praised the accomplishments of all members of the medical personnel of ARM who contributed for the affirmation of ARM and the Republic of Macedonia, especially with the activities of the mobile field hospital level 2 in the past evaluations and the participation of ARM units in all exercises as well as the participation in missions ALTEA and ISAF.
At the same time he also thanked the outgoing AMC commander for his leadership, personal contribution and the achieved results of the unit. He congratulated the newly appointed commander Lieutenant Colonel Mineva on her new post and wished her success in commanding the unit and he asked for determination in dealing with all the challenges she would be faced with in the period to come.
The former AMC commander Colonel Dushan Stojanovikj also gave a speech thanking the personnel and the superiors for their given support.
The AMC commander Lieutenant Colonel Irena Mineva said that she would put a maximum effort and would work towards justifying the given trust. Addressing the AMC personnel she said that with joint efforts they would contribute for bigger success and larger affirmation of the centre.
