On 06.17.2015, ARM members from barracks “Mirche Acev” conducted a joint demonstration exercise with members of Fire Fighting units (FFU) from Prilep and Bitola on the topic “Dealing with fire at hard to reach locations and objects protected by The Law on Cultural Heritage. ”
The activity took place in the vicinity of the monastery “Archangel Michail” in Varosh, Prilep, and the aim was to train ARM members to actively be involved in extinguishing fires, if necessary during the high summer temperatures, when the likelihood of fires is increased.
The exercise was preceded by a two-day training, when soldiers of the fire fighting platoon from the barracks practiced handling equipment for cascaded bringing of water to high and hardly accessible terrains, in the area of responsibility of the regional FFU.
The exercise was attended by representatives from the command of garrison Prilep, Center for Crisis Management – Prilep, the Directorate for Protection and Rescue – Prilep, representatives from municipality Prilep and the Mayor of Prilep.
