From the 18-22.08. 2014, the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3MIB) of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade had a five-day specialized training called, “Sniper Course” at the garrison shooting range “Erebino” in Tetovo. The objective of the course was to upgrade the professional and methodological knowledge of snipers. Sergeant major 1st Class Zoran Ilievski was the person in charge who has completed a sniper course in R. of Italy.
During the course there were shooting tasks and by using the lessons learned from the NATO countries training the following activities were conducted: rectifying and adjusting of sniper rifles to 50 meters; sniper rifle shooting in 100 and 200 meters, conducting stress shoot where the snipers must engage targets after physical activities, such as 10 pushups, 10 squats, running for 100 meters and crawling 10 meters.
This training was successfully completed which proves that ARM personnel implement the lessons learned during the training they have with foreign armies.
