In the period from 5 to 09.05 2015 in the barracks “Menkov Boro” in Kumanovo and “Jane Sandanski” in Stip a basic sniper training was conducted including soldiers who are positioned as snipers in the formation in the the composition of 1.Mechanized Infantry Battalion, 2.Mechanized Infantry Battalion and Engineer battalion.
The training was conducted by instructors from the composition of Ranger Battalion of the Special Operations Regiment. The basic training began by displaying an educational film about the historical importance of the sniper in combat, for it to continue to be practically implemented on the training areas at the “Boro Menkov” barracks.
The following topics were realised: purpose, combat features, TT – features a sniper rifle, a way of masking and masking, detection and selection of targets, nabluduvanje and sketching and fixing the distance to the target. The topics for the students of the course caused great interest and are included in the maximum training that resulted in the acquisition of new skills and knowledge as well as validation and upgrading of previously acquired.
The last day of the training was conducted firing of shooting “Penush” Stip with a sniper rifle which had united all the elements and procedures implemented during the training were realized: purpose, combat features, the distinguishing tactical and technical characteristics of the sniper rifle, manner ofmasking, target selection and detection, observation and sketching and determining the distance from the target.
The topics generated great interest among the participants in the course and they engaged themselves to the maximum in the training which resulted in the adoption of new skills and knowledge as well as validation and upgrading of what has been previously acquired. On the last day of the training, a shooting exercise with sniper rifle at the shooting range “Penush” in Shtip was conducted, which united all the elements and procedures implemented
during the training.
