On 09.04.2014 at the shooting range Petrovec shooting practice took place, with the arms of the mechanized armoured units (aMArmdU)- with tank T-72 with the members of the Armoured Battalion (ArmdBn) from the First Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1st MIB).
The Commander of the Joint Operations Command (JOC), Major General Metodija Velichkovski, and the Deputy Commander of the 1st MIB, Colonel Velin Stojanovski, attended the shooting exercise.
Shooting practice is part of the shooting program with the armament of the Armoured Mechanized Units which are carried out after previously successfully completed preparatory exercises and shooting. The tank T-72 crew previously has to pass successfully the above mentioned shooting exercises as a prerequisite for performing live shooting which is in fact a crown of the combat training of the tank units.
The contents of the shooting practice number 3 consist of shooting momentary targets with the tank T-72 armament (7.62 mm PKT coax machine gun) while moving with short stops, where the T-72 crew skill and training in performing-solving of shooting tasks at distances of 500-800 meters comes to light.
Excellent results were achieved on the shooting practice and the crews once again demonstrated superior training and unity with tank T-72.
