On 19.02.2014 at the mines and explosives training ground “Stenkovec” according to the Annual training plan of the Engineer Battalion from the composition of the 1. Mechanized Infantry Brigade was realized practical training and exercises on subject” Making and burning ignition fuse nets. “The purpose of the training is members from Engineer Battalion to practice the proper, prompt and reliable workmanship and burning slow burning ignition fuse, safe handling with the explosives, making ignition fuse nets for ignition of explosive charges and the knowledge and application of technical protection measures in preparation and ignition of explosive charge with slow burning ignition fuse.
During the exercise, by members of the Engineer Battalion as a unit specializing in the manufacture and use of explosive ordnance, were made three types of nets (alternating , parallel and combined ) for ignition of explosive charge with detonating fuse.
Such exercises with live explosive means are typical for using TNT ( trinitrotoluene), which is with great explosive power and is needed to address particular attention to safety measures. By platoons and company commanders they were successfully implemented, previously acquired experiences and knowledge of specified ways of handling when working with explosives and assets for burning, which was an essential precondition for security and success in the implementation of the exercise.
