On the occasion of the Day of ARM “18th August” an official gathering of employees was held in the barracks “Alekso Demnievski-Bauman”. The gathering was attended by all employees in the barracks, as well as the invited guests from local government, state institutions and associations fromVeles.
Before the ceremony on the occasion of the Day of ARM delegation led by the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command Colonel Ljupcho Kostovski laid flowers at the Memorial Ossuary for the soldiers killed in World War II, in Veles. Tribute was also paid by delegations from the mayor’s office of the municipality Veles, the mayor of municipality Gradsko, City Council of the municipality Veles, the municipal organization of the Veterans Association and Citizens followers of the traditions of the Second World War.
At the formal gathering the The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command in his speech reminded those present of the historical events and the years of growth and development of ARM. Furthermor, he stressed that today the Training and Doctrine Command produces numerous individually trained personnel, meets new challenges and constantly updates content of programs.
Orders for promotion, as well as incentive for members of the garrison Veles were read at the ceremony.
The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command awarded appreciation for successful cooperation with the local government to the municipal organization of the Veterans Association and Citizens followers of the traditions of the Second World War, and to the Territorial Fire Unit from Veles.
After the ceremony, attendees saw a tactical and technical (TT) exhibition at which part of armament and equipment were exposed.
The Tactical and technical exhibition was visited by citizens who also had an opportunity to visit the barracks within the frameworks of the open day.
