In the period from 30.06.2014 until 07.10.2014, the members of the Ranger battalion within the Special Operations Regiment are participating in the multinational exercise “Platinum wolf 2014” which is conducted in the Republic of Serbia.
Apart of ARM members of the armed forces of Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Azerbaijan, Croatia and the United States also participate in the exercise. Objective of the exercise is to promote the use of non-lethal weapons in peacekeeping missions and increase the capacity of partner countries who are participating.
Exercise activities are carried out in two phases and the first will be familiarization with the possibilities of non-lethal weapons and their use, while the second phase will deal with issues of peacekeeping missions such as patrol, checkpoint etc.
Multinational exercises are a great opportunity to exchange experiences, increasing the capabilities of the units, interoperability and building of relationships.
