The NATO Workshop “Regional Team for Environmental Protection” is being held from 5th to 9th November in the Republic of Macedonia. At the opening of the workshop, at the ARM House, the representative of NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) Lieutenant-Colonel David Burbridge and the Chief of the Section for Civil-Military Cooperation of ARM GS Colonel Vancho Shontevski wished the participants a successful workshop.
After being introduced to the NATO policy and doctrine for environmental protection, the participants will continue with the theoretical and practical activities at barracks “Ilinden” and TA “Krivolak”.
The workshop, which is conducted in partnership with NATO, is an excellent opportunity for the participants to receive certificates for the “NATO Military Environmental Protection Practices and Procedures Course”. This course will improve environmental management of our military training areas during national and multinational exercises, protecting our national resources.
In addition to NATO-SHAPE, the course is supported by expert lecturers the United States European Command, the Belgian Armed Forces, and the NATO Military Engineering Centre of Excellence. Participants from Macedonia, Albania, Croatia, Romania, Montenegro and Kosovo will take part at the workshop.
