From the second half of January and the first half of February this year, in accordance with the yearly plans for training of the units from the 1st mechanized infantry brigade, the members of the armored reconnaissance platoons from the infantry battalions, the reconnaissance sections from the engineering and artillery battalions, as well as the reconnaissance platoon from the command company, at the terrains for winter training in the mountains of the east and west part of Republic of Macedonia, are realizing training in winter conditions.
After the successfully conducted training for stay, living and performance of tasks, in their bases and training grounds in winter conditions, in this period in accordance with the plans for training of the reconnoiters follows a practical realization of the learnt survival techniques and performance of tasks in winter conditions and snow.
During the training of several days, the personnel practically showed the skills for performance of the tasks in winter conditions, such as: movement in deep snow, overcoming of snow obstacles with formation means and custom made means, construction and stay in the objects made of snow and in snow, shooting positions with the personal fire arms in snowy conditions and deep snow, as well as movement and steering of a motor sleigh.
During the training, the units were visited by the responsible officers for the training from the staff of the 1st mechanized infantry brigade, and at the training grounds they witnessed the high level of training and psychophysical readiness of the reconnoiters in performance of tasks in complicated weather conditions.
