Final Planning Conference (FPC) for the forthcoming disaster response exercise “National Response 2019” was held in the Jane Sandanski Barracks in the Shtip Garrison from 03.09. to 05.09.2019.
Besides the representatives of the Army, the conference was attended by: representatives of the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Health, Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, CMC (Crisis Management Centre), PRD (Protection and Rescue Directorate), RCRNM (Red Cross of Republic of North Macedonia), EVN, local self-government of the municipalities of Shtip, Kocani, Zrnovci and Cheshinovo-Obleshevo, teritorial Fire-fighting Unit of Shtip, PI “Isar”, “Stipion” and “Plachkovica” and Water Economy “Bregalnica”.
During the conference, the events and scenarios planned for the exercise were coordinated and seen into details, as well as the working points, the number of participants in the exercise, the material resources needed and the means of communication.
Next-Generation Incident Command System (NICS) will be used for the first time at the forthcoming exercise “National Response 2019”. For that purpose CMC officials trained the key personnel participating in the exercise.
FPC was visited by the Minister of Defense, Radmila Shekerinska, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin and the Commander of the Joint Operations Command, Major General Pavle Arsoski. The director of the exercise familiarized the visitors with details on preparation, organization and realization of the disaster response exercise “National Response 2019”, to be held from 16.09. to 19.09.2019 in the Shtip garrison.
