Representatives of the Army General Staff, under the leadership of the GS Director, Major General Zoran Mileski, at the Army House in Skopje held a two-day working meeting with a delegation of the Slovenian Armed Forces, led by Brigadier General Ivan Mikuz.
At the meeting, through professional expertise, the participants exchanged knowledge and experience in the area of NATO-military organizational structure and NATO-led operations, as well as in the area of training and military exercises on bilateral level.
Through conversation with the GS members from the section for combat readiness and operations, exchanging experiences in this area will contribute to designing a higher quality Manual for choosing and selection of personnel and units for participating in missions and operations led by NATO, EU and UN, and also a Manual for choosing and selection of personnel send to work in NATO commands and staffs, which are supposed to be designed in the first quarter of 2020.
The working meeting had yet another goal, agreement between the representatives of sections for training and exercises for joint activities in the area of training and exercises, development of the national JTAC program, as well as using the potentials of the ATA Krivolak for combined firing practice and exercises.
The aim of the intensified bilateral expert talks with representatives of armies of NATO member states, with whom we have excellent bilateral cooperation, is through recommendations and expected challenges we will face in the integration process for NATO entry, to complete this process in a quicker and more efficient manner.
