From 13th to 31st of January 2020, at the Training Centre Pepelishte, the first part of the training “Leadership Course for Team and Section Leaders” will be held by the Mobile Training Teams (MTT) from the United Kingdom.
There were many guests at the official opening of the training including the Chief of Staff of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, Brigadier General Hugh Lloyd-Jones, British adviser at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia, GS of the Army activity coordinator, Colonel Zoran Dodevski and the Commander of the 1IBde, Colonel Besnik Emini.
Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, Brigadier General Hugh Lloyd-Jones, and Colonel Zoran Dodevski addressed the course participants at the official opening, stating the aims and objectives of the course.
The aims of the course are, to train service personnel of the Light Infantry Battalion Group (LIBG) to lead tactical units at the size of team and section, and to train Army Instructors for tactics, techniques and procedures of leading light infantry operations according to NATO standards. The course will be conducted by the UK Army instructors and instructors from our Army.
After finishing the official opening ceremony, the present guests visited the service personnel who have started the training by taking psychophysical test as an important part of training and task performance.
The second part of the training, “Instructors Training”, has been planned, and when the trainees graduate this course, they will train the service personnel of the LIBG in accordance with the NATO standards for Light Infantry units.
