In accordance with the yearly plan and program for the Red Cross, and taking into consideration the postponing of all group activities due to the circumstances dealing with the pandemic COVID-19, on 10th June 2020, at the military barracks ‘Alekso Demnievski Bauman’ in Veles a voluntary blood donation activity was carried out where 25 units of blood were collected.
With this act the Army members once more demonstrated their humanity in action during the state of emergency over COVID-19. They carefully and respectfully took all the precautionary measures imposed by the government, at the same time being engaged in various tasks in dealing with the virus “COVID-19”.
The teams from the Institute for Transfusion Medicine from Skopje and the Red Cross showed their gratitude to the Army members and they openly expressed their satisfaction with the collected blood units during the ongoing state of emergency, when it is extremely difficult to carry out a normal blood donation activity.
