The service personnel of the Training Command and Doctrine symbolically celebrated the 15th of April – The Day of the Unit by lining up at the military barracks “Alekso Demnievski – Bauman” in Veles.
All celebration activities were conducted abiding to the preventive measures against the spread of COVID -19.
The Deputy Chief of GS of the Army, Major General Azim Nuredin, and the Commander of TRADOC, Brigadier General Metodi Hadji Janev, were present at the celebration.
When General Nuredin addressed the lined-up units, he congratulated on the Day of the Unit and emphasized the importance of training and gaining new knowledge and skills, which is one of the most important segments of military profession, and TRADOC is in charge of that.
General Niredin also said that Basic NCO course, which TRADOC instructors are conducting at the moment, is of utmost importance for producing well trained NCO personnel as well as a key factor for further successful training in the other units.
“One more important segment of the unit’s mission which is attributed to TRADOC, without which the Army cannot perform their functions as well as reach the required interoperability, is enriching the Army with professional military literature”, said General Nuredin. At the ceremony, incentive measures for TRADOC service personnel were announced including one for professional soldier Dushko Ilkachev, who is voluntarily serving in the ranks, for his dedicated and unrelenting way of conducting every day activities, by which he demonstrates the key standards necessary for each Army service personnel.
The reason why the 15th of April is celebrated as the Day of Training Command and Doctrine is that on that day in 1992, the first class of recruits arrived to serve in the ranks as a regular military service in the Army.
