During military exercise ‘Decisive Strike 21’, at camp ‘Fire’ ATA ‘Krivolak’, a 36-hour-activity called ‘Spur Ride’ was conducted with the members of 1-153 CAV, US Florida Army National Guard and for the first time in unit’s history members of the Army of North Macedonia participated.
The activity was finalized with a 16 km march; the competitors who took part were supported by US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes, Major General Pavle Arsoski, Brigadier General Orce Jordev, Colonel Blazhe Niolovski, as well as representatives of Army General Staff and many participants of military exercise ‘Decisive Strike 21’
All members who successfully completed ‘Spur Ride’ were presented silver spurs by US Ambassador Kate M. Byrnes, Operations Command (OC) Commander, Major General Pavle Arsoski, OC Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Orce Jordev and the Director of exercise, Blazhe Nikolovski.
‘Spur Ride’ is a tradition each member of US Army Cavalry unit must complete and it is a combination of physical endurance and mental strength.
