Today, the Canine Training Centre (CTC), within the Training and Doctrine Command, located at barracks “Gjorche Petrov” in Skopje, was visited by the Defence Attachés Association accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia in accordance with the plan for bilateral cooperation.
The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General, Metodi Hadji Janev, welcomed the guests. The visitors were briefed about the mission, tasks, history, structure, equipment and facilities of the unit. The aim of the visit was enhancing the cooperation in the area of breeding and training of military working dogs, and an emphasis was put on the training of the personnel who works there.
The guests were acquainted with the training grounds, the kennels and the living and working conditions at the Canine Training and Breeding Center, which was done in accordance with the measures and recommendations for prevention of spreading COVID-19. A demonstration training exercise with military working dogs from various categories was carried out during the visit, which was an opportunity for the visitors to see searching and detection of explosive in a vehicle, mine searching, searching for injured persons and other activities.
