“The pre-hospital trauma life support” course was conducted at the premises of the Medical Support Battalion (MSbn) from the 1st to 5th of November with instructors from the Swiss army, Medical Training Department (MTD) personnel, the Balkan Medical Task Force (BMTF) service personnel, and participants from the Medical Platoon within the Second Infantry Battalion.
The participants had a chance to learn new skills and techniques for pre-hospital trauma life support, which they will apply when needed in their units.
Marking of the two-decade long cooperation between the Swiss Medical Training Center and the Medical Support Battalion was of utmost importance. During this time there was an exchange of experience, conveying of knowledge, skills and techniques, as well as the continual logistics support with materials necessary for the training and courses in the Medical Support Department.
At the end of the course, the Swiss Army Chief Medical Advisor, Colonel Peter Florek, awarded the course participants with certificates for a completed course. The Commander of the MSbn, Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeta N. Petreski presented Colonel Peter Florek an Army Plaque as a token of two-decade long successful cooperation.
