The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, who is in Athens, the Hellenic Republic, participated in the regular session of the NATO Military Committee (MC), in the format of Chiefs of General Staff today.
At this meeting, the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the 30 member states discussed strategic issues related to NATO operations, missions and activities, the implementation of military defense concepts and the “NATO 2030” initiative, as well as the future challenges of the Alliance.
The sessions, chaired by Admiral Rob Bauer, will be attended by the Allied Commanders-in-Chief in Europe and the Allied Transformation Forces, Generals Todd Waters and Andre Lana.
During his stay in Athens yesterday, the Chief of General Staff met with the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to Greece, H.E. Lidija Boshkovska.
By implementing the activities in all areas of its jurisdiction, the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia is working intensively to achieve the goals set for full integration in NATO within the stipulated deadline. At the same time, by constantly participating in major international exercises and NATO peace support operations, it contributes significantly to all NATO activities, for which it is recognized as a respectable ally.
The Military Committee at the level of Chiefs of Staff holds two regular meetings during the year, and meets once a year in one of the allied member states.
