In the “Jane Sandanski” barracks in Shtip with an official ceremony the 30th Anniversary from taking over this military facility was marked, as well as taking over the signals system via witch orders in Macedonian were transmitted for the first time.
On the occasion of this jubilee there was a visit from retired officers and NCOs from the Signals Branch, who at that period overtook the signals system from the former 11th infantry brigade in the barracks.
Besides the seniors, visitors were also the retired Makedonski Telekom employees, from the branch office in Shtip, who gave unselfish help in connecting of the communication systems, repairing them and maintaining them, by which the links in the barracks were put into operation very fast.
The Commandeer of the barracks, Lieutenant Colonel Stojanche Kostov, in his greeting speech thanked the present and stressed the importance of this of this historic moment, the importance of the signals for the functioning of the units, as well as the development and improvement of the communication systems in the Army in the past years.
The guests were introduced to the improvement and development of the communication systems in the unit and the Army by a briefing, and also there was a display of signals means and systems which belong to the second infantry battalion.
