There was a training and exchange of experiences in the area of artillery in the period from March 3, to March 10, 2022 in the “Mirche Acev” Barracks in Prilep, at the quarters of the Artillery Battalion and “Lekovo” shooting range in a consistent compliance with the “Covid-19” protocols.
During the training, the officers and NCOs from the Artillery Battalion, the personnel from the Artillery branch from the Infantry Battalions within the 1st IBde and the personnel from the Special Forces Battalion, as well as a team from the US Military 4 Security Force Assistance Brigades, theoretically by presentations, discussions, and exchange of personal experiences upgraded and improved their knowledge within the area of artillery. At the end of the training there was an exercise shooting with a 105mm howitzer, with 20mm barrel insert at the “Lekovo” shooting range, where the Commander of the 1 IBde Colonel Sashko Lavchiski, was present.
The training for forward observers is an opportunity for refreshing the current and gaining new experiences, but also an opportunity for overcoming the challenges in the area of artillery, by which the goal of the training was achieved.
