In the barracks “NH Straso Pindzur” in Petrovec, a ceremony was held on the occasion of duty handover of the commander of Air Force WING (afWING).
In his address to the unit and the present guests, the commander of the Operations Command (OC), Brigadier General Besnik Emini, emphasized that in front of him stands a trained and highly motivated team that has dealt with all kinds of tasks, always conducted on the highest level, and he thanked them for their commitment and professionalism. Further he congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Stoimenovski sincerely on the occasion of his new duty, wishing him to achieve even greater results in the coming period.
The newly appointed commander, Lt. Col. Igorcho Stoimenovski, thanked for the trust he was given to command and work with top professionals, emphasizing that in the future they will continue the good work and try to achieve even more significant results. He emphasized that he will use the knowledge and experiences from the previous post, expecting the support and engagement from all members of the afWING in the realization of the mission and tasks of the unit, thus justifying the trust given to manage this unit.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the OC, representatives from the General Staff of the Army, heads of sections in the OC, commanders of units in the Army and former commanders of this unit.
At the end of the ceremony, there was a ceremonial handover of the military flag of the unit, which marked the official commencement of Air Force WING Commander Duty.
