In barracks “Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu” in Tetovo, the members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion (3IBn) celebrated the Day of the Unit with a military ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski, commanders of subordinate units, representatives from of the 1st Infantry Brigade former commanders of the 3rd IBn, local government representatives and other guests. On the occasion of 30 years of the Army, former employees of the Army who took over the barracks from the former JNA also attended the event.
“Dear guests, today we celebrate one more day in our century long struggle and aspirations of many generations for a free and independent country, and today’s celebration is another opportunity to remember our glorious ancestors and their heroic deeds,” said the commander of the 3rd MIBn.
“At the ceremony, commendations and incentives were given to the unit’s members, and the best platoon was announced.
The reconnaissance platoon from the command company of the 3rd IBn was declared the best unit.
In addition to the incentives and cultural program, the members of the 3rd IBn held a ceremonial parade for the numerous guests.
