The Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin is on a two-day official visit to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkiye, at the invitation of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu.
Besides the official meeting with the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, General Bayraktaroglu, Major General Nuredin, also had a protocol meeting with the Chief of the General Staff, General Yasar Güler, at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkiye.
At the meeting the bilateral cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkiye and the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia were discussed, as well as the support and contribution of the Armed Forces of Turkiye in the equipping and modernization of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Among other things, the possibilities for further action, the expanding of the existing and determination of new forms of military cooperation in common fields of interest were considered at the meeting.
Within the framework of the visit, in accordance with the program, General Nuredin also visited the training capacities of the Special Forces Command and the Command of the Brigade for Pilotless Planes, as well as some companies of the Turkish defense industry, and the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, where he laid a wreath and signed the visitor guestbook.
