Today, the Patrons of military barracks “Strasho Pindzjur” in Petrovec and “Mirche Acev” in Prilep were celebrated by laying fresh flowers. In addition, at the same time the 80th Anniversary from the death of the national heroes Strasho Pindzjur and Mirche Acev was celebrated.
In the military barracks in Petrovec, delegations from the Operations Command, the 1st Infantry Brigade Command, the Air Force WING Command and representatives from the municipality of Kavadarci laid fresh flowers. In the military barracks in Prilep, delegations from the Command of the garrison in Prilep, the Artillery Battalion, the municipality of Prilep, National Liberation Fighters’ Association of Prilep and Elementary School “Mirche Acev” in Prilep laid fresh flowers.
A representative from the museum in Kavadarci addressed the present guests in the military barracks in Petrovec, talking about the life and work of the national hero Strasho Pindzjur. The historian Rubincho Belcheski and the Commander of the Artillery Battalion talked about the national hero Mirche Acev in the military barracks in Prilep. The Commander said that this kind of celebration strengthens the traditions of our rich Macedonian history which is the reason why all Army service personnel should respect all heroes’ work and sacrifice of their lives for freedom and independence. In addition, the students from the Elementary School “Mirche Acev” in Prilep recited poems about the hero.
